The Northern Ireland Guardian ad Litem Agency (NIGALA) routinely makes available information on our website, some of which can be accessed through our Publication Scheme.
Publication Scheme
In order to comply with the Freedom of Information Act public sector organisations such as ours routinely publish information whenever possible. The Information Commissioner is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and has drawn up a Model Publication Scheme for all public sector organisations which we have adopted. You can search the NIGALA Publication Scheme here
However there may be information about NIGALA and our business which is not currently available on our website. Details of how to access this information are shown below.

Data Protection

This Act provides individuals with a right of access to their own personal information, which will usually be in the form of a copy of the information held. All requests for information should be in writing (by letter or email) and include a return address for the purpose of corresponding. To ensure that we meet your request as fully as possible, it is essential that any request for information clearly sets out what information is being sought and describes the information in as much detail as possible. This will avoid us having to contact you seeking clarification, which might delay our response to a request. Find our Information Governance Policy here
