What is a Solicitor?

The Solicitor works with the Guardian and speaks to the Judge for you.  They look after your legal rights.
The guardian arranges for you to talk to a Solicitor.  The Solicitor will decided if you are old enough to really understand what is happening.  If you are, you can tell the solicitor what to say in court.  If you don’t understand what is happening, the Guardian will tell the solicitor what to say for you.
The Guardian may also ask you whether you want to go to the court hearings or visit the court.   If you do, the Guardian will then try to arrange this for you.
